The changing face of the Solid Surface Industry

The changing face of the Solid Surface Industry

The Solid Surface Industry, like any industry, is ever evolving and changing.

Issues we have faced over the past year have been cost changes, supply issues on some materials and an alteration of how materials are held in the UK.

In order to ensure that our customers are kept up to date as much as possible with changes in our industry, plus of course the wider construction industry itself, we have introduced a concise, weekly newsletter – “The Voice of Solid Surface”

and also to share other pertinent information and, at times bring some light hearted humour to play.

We have recently been advised about price increases and colour alterations from both Durasein and Tristone, which we will confirm asap.

If you want to keep up to date with the news from our industry, ourselves and construction, please sign up to our newsletter.

Hot pans, constant prep work, endless cleaning cycles – and that's just one lunchtimeSo when it comes to choosing surfaces for professional kitchens, this isn't about what looks nice in a showroom. It's about what'll still be standing (and hygienic) after years of service.

Understanding Disclaimer Colours in Solid Surface

Understanding Disclaimer Colours in Solid Surface

Understanding disclaimer colours in Solid Surface is important because, when it comes to Solid Surface, not every colour behaves the same way. While the full spectrum of shades allows incredible design freedom, some colours, particularly the darker, high-pigment options,  require a little more care and understanding. These are often referred to as “disclaimer colours.”
