3D thermo forming

BSF Solid Surfaces Ltd are an innovative Three Dimensional Solid Surfaces Thermoforming Expert, boasting an impressive portfolio of completed, complicated fabrication. We achieve complex shapes and sizes, others could not contemplate, utilising our thermoforming vacuum platten oven and specifically manufactured Fifty Tonne Press.

Case Study one

Our involvement with the National Museum of Bahrain hosts a vast array of tightly formed Black profile edges, at a 150mm diameter from Black Hi-Macs, used on all the display modules and consisted of over 400 linear metres, as black was the colour of choice, strict controls were employed to maintain colour consistency to avoid shading of the material, this was successfully done by the use of a bespoke aluminium water cooled pattern, this enabled production time to be kept without the loss of quality.

Case Study two

The reception National Museum of Bahrain has two boomerang shaped reception tops, suspended upon a metal frame, the tops were double sided at a height of 150mm they had a 150mm thermo formed profile edge to the perimeter of the tops, the shapes consisted of three different external radii and two different inner radii, this was to the centre point of the top which when the profile was mirrored equalled the overall top length of 3000mm, again they were manufactured in Hi-Macs Black.

Case Study three

The OXO Tower London, requirements were for three complicated bars and three reception desks, all six items were made up from a total of sixteen different male and female formers, manufactured from solid MDF and shaped on a 5 axis CNC, these formers were used in our bespoke 50 tonne press, photographs of the finished items can be viewed in our gallery, the material of choice, Corian Glacier White.

Case Study five

PWC Two three dimensional reception counters manufactured from Hi-Macs Black Pearl, forty sheets of material were either CNC shaped or 3D thermo formed, the use of our 5 Axis CNC was employed to produce ten working patterns which were used with our 50 tonnes press.

Our Specialised equipment, 5 axis CNC, 50 tonne press, Elkom 3500 mm platten oven with oversized silicone membrane complement by our Cad Cam facilities, Microstation and Alphacam, plus the use of our digital templating system allow BSF Solid Surfaces with its compliment of Craftsmen to undertake what other fabricators view as the impossible.
